Finally Facebook launches a light weight app Instagram Lite

Facebook was testing on  Instagram to make a lightweight app called ‘Instagram Lite’ and now this app has been officially launched at the Play store. This app is less data usage and utilizes little part of phone resources to allow users to use the service despite residing in regions having band connectivity. 

The new app is simply 2MB in size and where data-rich animations and other heavy features were stopped. Moreover, the app doesn't contain cube transitions, AR filters which might normally consume tons of knowledge. Though Instagram Lite will support GIFs and stickers which will be applied to stories.
